These artworks express the intimate dialogue between a musician and their instrument, a dialogue of sound, emotions and senses. An unanimated object that gains life with the touch of the musician; it is within this experience that both musician and instrument can find their inner soul. I am Leticia Suarez, a trilingual, and my first language is art. Fast and dry strokes express the pace and energy of my Latin background; they become defining elements of both my process and visual art. I believe in my work as a way of communication, similar to the intimate dialogue between a musician and their instrument where an unanimated object gains life with the touch of the musician. My work attempts to convey the incomprehensible energy within ourselves.
